The holidays may look a little different this year, but the gift of giving back will never go out of style at 7G.
Thanks to the generosity of our people, 50 families – 25 in Grande Prairie and 25 in Calgary – will receive $300 in gift cards to make their holiday season a little brighter. These gift cards come just in time to support these families in buying groceries, presents to fill their stockings or gifts to put under their tree. In total, our people donated more than $8,000 – and 7G matched nearly $7,000 – to cover the cost of these gift cards and give back to families in need. That brings our total donation to $15,000!
“This is an especially difficult time for many families across the province. We are happy to play a small part in supporting families in need and helping bring the magic of the holiday season to their homes,” says Cindy Park, Director of Community Engagement. “I am so proud of our people for stepping up and once again giving back during such an unprecedented and challenging time. There is truly no stopping our team – which is a testament to their compassion and commitment for the communities where we live and work.”
This holiday initiative is part of 7G’s larger Charity Weeks campaign, which raised more than $87,000 this past October for eight different organizations in Grande Prairie and Calgary. Learn more about this campaign and how our people came together to give back in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We would also like to extend a very special thank you to the Odyssey House in Grande Prairie and the Wood’s Homes Foundation in Calgary for connecting our team with these incredibly deserving families. We’re proud to support these organizations and the important work they do in our communities.
From our 7G family to yours, we hope you have a safe and joyous holiday season and a very happy New Year.
